Earthing: reconnecting yourself to the earth PLUS a giveaway!

How connected to the earth are we really?

Throughout human history (before modern civilization), it was the norm to walk outside barefoot- no matter what the terrain was. It seemed as if our bodies were always connected to the earth. We used the earth’s surface as a place to sit, play, grow our food and sleep on. Nowadays if someone were to walk outside barefooted, I’m sure numerous looks would be thrown and automatically people would think, “What is this weirdo doing? She has no shoes on.” And obviously, we don’t sleep on the ground anymore. We sleep inside, on top of a concrete foundation, on top of some kind of floor surface and lastly, on top of a bed. Nowhere are we near the earth’s ground. You also can’t forget that we currently we live in a world where most people work inside a building all day long, are outside only to get from point A to point B and wear plastic soled shoes (that act as a barrier) to prevent any kind of connectivity to the earth’s energy.

Think of it this way, just as the sun gives you energy and warmth through vitamin D, the earth also gives us something. Something that we cannot see and have learned to become disconnected with. Our beautiful earth has an energy that is gentle, infinite, natural. The earth’s energy has a powerful and positive impact on the body. Have you ever been to the beach and just felt completely, well, relaxed? As if nothing in the world was a worry? Yes, maybe the gentle sound of the waves crashing on the shore and the soothing melody of birds chattering may have something to do with it but you also feel relaxed because you are undeniably, connected to the earth positive energy. Okay okay, I know I sound like a hippie right now but what I’m saying is true. Think about it. When is the last time you walked outside, on grass barefoot? And for how long was it?

How does Earthing work?

“Electrically speaking, electrons have a negative charge, while free radicals have a
positive charge. Free radicals also are constantly in search of negatively charged

Unfortunately, it seems we’ve lost sight of our roots and indefinitely our connection to the world’s energy by modern day times. But fortunately, the easiest way you can reconnect yourself is to simply walk outside barefoot on grass, concrete, dirt or sand for at least a half hour. Do that once a day and I’m sure you will feel a whole lot better.
